Blue Teaming Engineer Intern

Location: Remote
Type: Internship (3–6 Months)
Start Date: Immediate

You’ll Be Working On:

Monitor and analyze logs and alerts from SIEM tools and endpoint detection platforms.

Assist in identifying potential security incidents through anomaly detection and behavior analysis.

Perform threat hunting exercises to uncover hidden adversary presence.

Help build and fine-tune detection rules, alert logic, and correlation rules.

Participate in real-time incident response, triage, and mitigation.

Collaborate with Red Team on Purple Team exercises and security control validation.

Document playbooks, SOPs, and post-incident reports.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threats, and attack lifecycle.

Familiarity with log analysis, system monitoring, and network traffic analysis.

Understanding of common defensive tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions).

Experience with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and system administration basics.

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Critical thinking and analytical mindset.

Red Team Intern

Location: Remote
Type: Internship

You’ll Be Working On:

Assist in planning and executing red team assessments simulating real-world attack scenarios.

Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering and reconnaissance on target environments.

Utilize tools and custom scripts to exploit vulnerabilities in systems and networks.

Emulate Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) from frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.

Document findings, attack paths, and assist in report generation.

Collaborate with Blue Team counterparts for purple teaming exercises when needed.

Requirements:

Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Familiarity with penetration testing tools like Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Empire, Cobalt Strike (demo).

Knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell preferred).

Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest attack techniques and threat actors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Network Security Engineer Intern

Location: Remote
Company: Cyber Paradox
Duration: 3–6 Months

You’ll Be Working On:

Assist in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Analyze network traffic for signs of malicious activity using packet capture tools like Wireshark.

Perform vulnerability scans and assist in remediation tracking.

Document network diagrams, security policies, and procedures.

Assist with network segmentation, ACLs, and secure routing practices.

Monitor security logs and alerting systems for suspicious activity.

Support audits and compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.).

Requirements:

Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting).

Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.

Awareness of common security threats such as DDoS, ARP spoofing, MITM attacks.

Comfortable using tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and basic command-line utilities.

Eagerness to learn network architecture, protocols, and security mechanisms.

Good analytical and documentation skills.
